School Board Offices

On my way to an urban sketchers meet up I had coffee and sat on a bench and drew outside the Vancouver School Board offices at 10th & Fir streets in Vancouver BC.

This is drawn on Canson Pro Layout Marker paper with a Staedler marker and colour pencil. I really enjoy drawing on this slick surface but it doesn't take watercolour paint well.

Drawn at Richards and Robson Streets in Vancouver BC. I have drawn this restaurant before from a different angle, there are a couple of good places to draw from at this corner, lots of people, which I should have put in my drawing. Tomorrow I will be perfect, oh, wait, that's baseball. Enjoyable day with the meet up group.

I went drawing today near the Vancouver Public Library. Rosies Restaurant is at Robson and Hamilton Streets, across from the library.

I went with the meet up group today, a gorgeous sunny day, to Waterfront Station, near the cruise ship terminal. Lots of activity, cruise ship people, Vancouver marathon runners, sketchers, a great day. The old Vancouver Main Post Office is now sandwiched between more modern building, still a grand old lady.

Boundary Bay, BC, Canada

A gorgeous day, I sat in the warm sun on a log on the beach looking west at the end of the bay and played with my watercolors. Heaven.
