Really Blind Contour
Tormented by the fact that I peeked on the previous blind contour I rushed to my sketchbook and drew, without even a smidgeon of a peek, this blind contour rose. There is always something I like in this very liberating drawing exercise.

Blind Contour
Learning to Draw by Robert Kaupelis is one of my all time favourite drawing books, an oldie but great. Kaupelis recommends making blind contour drawings for the rest of your artistic life, a continuing part of your drawing activity. I only peeked once or twice, honest!

from The Globe & Mail
I drew this from a wonderful John Lehmann photo in the Toronto Globe & Mail. Purple Ultra Fine Sharpie, Canson XL Mix Media 98lb 7" X 10" sketchbook, water-colour. No buildings like this in Vancouver. I hope John doesn't mind, will I hear from the Globes lawyers? No, they have better things to do.
