The 2010 Winter Olympics start around here Friday Feb 12. Flowers are growing in my garden , this is the mildest winter in years. The best laid plans!
The actual event venues will be OK, especially the Whistler ski runs, but it's spring in the city.

"Handcar", CPR station, Port Moody BC
Port Moody was the original western terminus for the Canadian Pacific Railway, before it went to Vancouver. This is a hand operated "handcar" which would carry a couple of men down the tracks for maintenance jobs. The old station and some equipment are now a heritage site.
