Place du Tertre & Place Helene & Victor Basche

Near the Alesia metro station at Place Helene & Victor Basche. This intersection of five streets had everything, cafes, Metro, numerous bus routes, butcher, baker, fishmonger, green grocer, etc. Our apartment was one minute down the street in Impasse du Rouet. Loved it all.

The Carnavalet is full of historical items from Paris and the ticket is a dream come true for art lovers.

Paris cafe drawings

Loved sitting in the cafes drawing. A coffee at a good cafe was 5 Euros, about $7 Canadian/US, but that got you the table for as long as you like with no interruption from the waiter. People have written novels sitting at cafe tables in Paris.
